Zero gap welds are generally found in industries such as pipeline and pressure vessel. The joints are characterized by extremely narrow joint, alternative occurrence of edge misalignment and possible irregular tacked points, resulting in poor joint consistency and difficulty in controlling welding accuracy. Zero gap Welding Seam Tracking System developed by Minyue-Laser can be quickly installed either on industrial robots or special-purpose welding machines, capable of precisely detecting the welding gap as small as 0.08mm. Through visual guidance, the programmed welding path is modified continuously to compensate for position variation to ensure the weld bead is precisely deposited in the joint, achieving accurate and efficient welding process.
